JOHN PETERSEN is a composer, sound artist & singer/songwriter with deep roots in the creation of soundtracks for both film & television.
Some career highlights include original scores for HBO, MTV, Nickelodeon, VOLTRON, MIAMI VICE, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, YUGI-OH!, ABC WORLD NEWS, SHUTTLECOCK, CHILDLESS, BROADWAY'S FINEST, THE KEEPER and more. Recent endeavors comprise original songs for films including "Flesh & Blood" for SHUTTLECOCK & "D.I.Y." for BROADWAY'S FINEST.
Now, PETERSEN is busy with a new body of work. He has spent the last 4 years developing what he refers to as ‘restorative soundwork’— music & sound created to literally change your brainwaves from a state of cognitive dissonance to a state of deep relaxation. Reinventing ambient music, and incorporating many principles of sound healing, the compositions are made with the specific intention of benefitting both mind & body.
